Only Fans

During times of stress and anxiety, it’s normal for us to hear how important it is to reach out to people that are traditionally in much needed isolation, in normal times, and that’s a good thing.

But one thing that gets lost in the mix is reaching out to and checking up on “strong people”. Research shows that if people perceive you as strong, they are least likely to worry about you – and are less likely to call you back – even in times of panic.

Have you ever thought about how your “strong friends” feel when they check up on you,  but don’t get anything during times when everyone is in need of something.

Is there someone who is your “Only Fan”? They have been supportive of you from Day 1, or they serve as a mentor, or they are always sharing or giving to you? Is there someone who is always calling, but you’re always sending yo voicemail?

Watch the short clip below to see how a “strong friend” feels when they go from being the one who helps everyone to being the one who is left alone.
